DESCRIPTION:This season\, we’re delighted to launch Hopetoun Hounds – a brand-new photography competition celebrating our four-legged visitors at the grounds of Scotland’s finest stately home. \nBring your dog along to Hopetoun\, explore our beautiful grounds\, and capture that perfect moment of your pup enjoying their day out. Whether they’re posing proudly on the lawns\, exploring woodland paths\, enjoying a puppuccino in The Stables Kitchen or simply soaking up the scenery\, we’d love to see your best shots. \nEach month from April to September\, we’ll select a winning photograph. The lucky winner will receive a Hopetoun Hamper worth up to £80\, filled with treats for both you and your dog – the perfect reward after a day of adventure. \nHow to Enter\nTaking part is simple: \n\nVisit Hopetoun House & Grounds with your dog.\nTake a photograph somewhere within the Grounds or in The Stables Kitchen.\nShare your photograph on Instagram or Facebook\, tagging @HopetounHouse and using #HopetounHounds.\nPaste the link to your Instagram or Facebook post in the entry form below to complete your entry.\n\n One winner will be chosen each month during our visitor season (April–September). \nReady to enter? DESCRIPTION:*** Due to unforeseen circumstances\, Lunar Eclipse Therapy Ponies & Unicorns will no longer be joining us for this event***\n  \nEaster Opening – A Place to Explore\, Restore & Relax\nWe are delighted to welcome both new and returning visitors as we re-open for the 2026 season on Friday 3rd April 2026.  With Easter activities for all ages taking place on Saturday & Sunday\, its the perfect way to enjoy Hopetoun. \nBuilt in 1699\, Hopetoun House remains a lived-in historic home\, rich in character and heritage. Inside\, our knowledgeable guides bring its remarkable story to life\, sharing the architecture\, treasured collections and fascinating histories that have shaped this extraordinary stately home for over three centuries. \n  \nFamily Activities\nOur award-winning Ranger & Education Team will be offering a fantastic range of fun and educational crafts and activities throughout the season. \nDrop in to the Ranger Centre and Education Room over the Easter weekend to discover more and enjoy a variety of family-friendly crafts and trails. \nNew for 2026! We’re delighted to welcome our friends from Froglife (Sunday only). Little visitors can explore and learn about life cycles and ecosystems. \n  \nReconnect with Nature\nWander the Spring Garden Trail\, where vibrant daffodils and early bluebells bring the landscape to life. Breathe in the fresh spring air as you take in sweeping sea views across the Firth of Forth. \nLooking for something more guided?
