Yes! The only weather which may cause the event to be cancelled is very high winds. In the unlikely event we have to cancel then announcements will be made on the event’s dedicated Facebook page and the website.\n\nGetting Here\n\nIs there car parking at the event? Yes\, we have ample free car parking on-site. Please follow instructions from event stewards on arrival.  All parking (apart from disabled parking) is on grass.\nDo you have disabled parking? Yes\, for cars displaying a blue badge. Please have your badge clearly on display and the stewards will direct you to our disabled parking area on hard standing (suitable for wheelchairs). Please note that spaces can only be allocated to cars displaying blue badges.\nWhat route do we use into the Estate for the event? We have a dedicated traffic plan in place to ensure traffic is kept moving at all times. Please follow the yellow event signs from the A904 and do not drive along Shore Road by car as this is reserved for emergency vehicles.\nWhen do the gates open? To minimise any congestion the gates open at 4pm and will close at 6pm to ensure everyone is on-site for the main event. Food is available from 4pm and entertainment and bonfire thereafter.\nCan I walk to the event? Yes. The safest route by foot is along the Shore Road. Please be aware that this is an emergency vehicle access route and it is also a back up exit route should the main roads become overly congested. If walking we encourage you bring torches and dress children in bright colours/high vis if possible.\nIs there any public transport? No\, unfortunately there are no bus routes that come close to the event. We have one designated taxi drop off and pick up area\, please inform your driver they MUST follow the dedicated signs to avoid going against the traffic flow and causing obstruction.\n\n Other\n\nCan I buy tickets on the gate? If the event sells out before Saturday (likely) we will not be able to sell any tickets on the night. We monitor ticket numbers daily so please buy in advance to avoid disappointment.  For all updates subscribe to the event feed on Hopetoun’s Facebook  or check the website.\nDo I need to print my e-ticket? Yes\, the ticket scanners at the gate work MUCH better from a printed ticket because we have limited mobile reception and light. Please print your e-tickets and keep them dry ready for scanning.\nCan I collect my ticket at Hopetoun? No\, if you’ve chosen to pick up tickets that you’ve bought online via Hub Tickets then you need to go to their box office in Edinburgh to collect them. We therefore recommend choosing to have them emailed to you so you can print at home and bring on the night. The only tickets you can buy here are at Hopetoun Farm Shop.\nCan I buy food at the event? Yes\, we have a wide range of food vendors including soup\, burgers\, gourmet hot dogs\, haggis\,  pizza and hog roast plus coffee vendors and confectionery.\nCan I buy alcohol at the event? No. This is a family event and we do not sell any alcohol on site. We also ask that you do not bring your own alcohol as this will be removed by our event stewards.\nIs the event suitable for prams? Yes\, please bear in mind you’ll be parking on grass but the main event arena is hard standing.\nCan I bring my own fireworks or sparklers? No. For everyone’s safety we do not permit guests to bring any sparklers or fireworks with them.\nAre dogs allowed? To minimise stress to both animals and the public we do not recommend guests bring dogs or leave them in the car during the event.\n\nTop Tips\n\nArrive early! You’ll get parked much quicker and with the lovely bonfire to keep you warm\, hot food on sale and plenty of pre-show entertainment you’ll have plenty to keep you busy – and warm!\nWear warm comfortable clothing and we’d recommend sturdy comfortable shoes that are suitable for walking on grass\nWhilst we provide sufficient lighting between the car parking area and in and around the main event we recommend you bring a torch to maximise your personal safety especially if you are walking to the event\nIf you wish to buy any event merchandise (e.g. glow swords\, head bands) Hopetoun has a stall inside the event. We do not allow any unauthorised vendors into the event but some traders may attempt to sell items on the entry to the event which is not licensed.\nVery young children may benefit from earplugs if you are concerned about the volume of the fireworks and entertainment.\n\nIf you have any other enquiries about the event please don’t hesitate to contact Hopetoun House during office hours on 0131 331 2451 or email enquiries@hopetoun.co.uk \n  \n*£1 booking fee applies to each ticket purchased online \n
