DESCRIPTION:Springtime is always a busy time on the Hopetoun farm with new lambs and baby chicks popping up all over the place! \nCome along to the shop over Easter weekend and you can meet some of them for yourself. We’ll be bringing a few of our lambs along to a new pen outside the farm shop and we’re also bringing some of our little chicks along too. \nPLUS if you’re bringing children with you ask them bring along a decorated egg. Every child who brings in a hand decorated egg will get a treat and we’ll proudly display their eggs in the shop. After Easter we will judge the entries and the best egg design will win a Hopetoun sweetie hamper crammed with delicious treats for the family. \nWe’ll also have a special offer on leg of Hopetoun lamb all weekend where you can save 15%. That’s if you can bring yourself to buy some after visiting them outside the shop! \n

DESCRIPTION:Following a recent competition at Hopetoun Farm Shop where customers were asked to design their own flavours now is the time to choose the winner – and you’ll be helping us to do this! \nThe following three flavours are in the final and our supplier Giacoppazi has been busy creating these for us to try.  The flavour with the most votes on the day will then be made up and sold exclusively in the shop. Here’s the new flavours that have been shortlisted: \n\nSalted Caramel with Chocolate Pieces and Honeycomb – designed by Lesley Cox\nBanana with Nutella and Caramel Swirls – designed by Julia Hope\nPina Colada Ice Cream (pineapple flavoured ice cream with a swirl of vanilla yoghurt topped with toasted coconut) – designed by Nicola Bruce\n\nWe’ll supply the spoons and all you have to do is tick the box of your favourite flavour and the winning recipe will be made exclusively for us to sell at the shop (and supply to the winner!).

DESCRIPTION:It’s officially BBQ season but if you’re more of a back seat griller and prefer someone else doing the cooking then pop along to Hopetoun Farm Shop for their annual summer BBQ. \nWith an assortment of delicious produce cooked fresh from the Estate there will be also lots of free tastings from some of the shops favourite suppliers and plenty of free activities for the kids. \nKicking off at 12pm the shop will be serving delicious Aberdeen Angus steak burgers\, handmade sausages and venison all sourced from the surrounding estate and farms plus an assortment of soft drinks and local ales. \nActivities for the family range from arts\, crafts and facepainting plus a chance to meet some of the farm residents (both human and animal!). Budding artists young and old can add their designs to the huge outdoor mural being painted on the day outside the shop to celebrate Scotland’s Year of Food and Drink. \nEdinburgh patisserie Zukr\, Fife producers Chillilicious and Dunfermline brewery De Brus are just some of the artisan Scottish suppliers offering free tastings on the day to highlight their new ranges being introduced at Hopetoun Farm Shop this summer. \nThe BBQ\, tastings and activities run from 12pm-4pm on Saturday 13th June. Paints\, brushes and aprons will be supplied for those wishing to add to the shop’s outdoor mural.
