DESCRIPTION:Local South Queensferry based artists Ian Henderson and Jean Hall\, who live and work on Hopetoun Estate will present a brand new exhibition in the Outer Room from 07th August until 04th September. \nThe show will feature new painting from Jean Hall – an artist who exhibits nationally in commercial galleries – and ceramics from Ian Henderson who has new domestic and decorative work to present. The pair have exhibited many times at Hopetoun House and each year their exhibition enlivens the Outer room- creating a rich and absorbing contemporary experience within the House. The new work will feature landmarks from the wider Hopetoun Estate\, various Japanese themed images\, decorative and functional ceramics as well as scenes abstracted from observation of the nearby Forth river. \nThe show will be open from 11.00am until 5:00pm each day and all artworks will be available for sale. DESCRIPTION:An exhibition of contemporary woven tapestries\n29th June – 31st July 2023\nJoan Baxter\, John Brennan\, Clare Coyle and Elizabeth Radcliffe all studied tapestry at the renowned tapestry department at Edinburgh College of Art.  All have exhibited widely in the UK and internationally over the last 30 – 40 years.  Whilst all focus on the traditional medium of tapestry\, each has their own style and different approach to weaving what interests them.
