DESCRIPTION:We’re delighted to announce the first solo exhibition from Edinburgh-based painter and poet the Selkie Stone.\n\n\n\nHer work is deeply inspired by the nature and folklore of her Scottish home\, balancing light and dark through rich colour and visual storytelling. This collection takes you from the intricate treasures of the Scottish coastline\, to the wild landscapes of rural Fife\, and even into the deer-filled woodlands of Hopetoun House.\n\n\n\nCreated largely within the span of a single month\, the exhibition is an intimate time capsule of immediate inspiration — a glimpse into the beginnings of a career rooted in curiosity\, imagination\, and myth.\n\n\n\nRaised in the wilds of the Lake District and now based in Edinburgh\, she draws on her love of hiking\, gothic literature\, and local folklore to weave magical narratives into her oil and watercolour works.\n\n\n\nViewers are invited to step into these worlds and find their own stories within the characters and landscapes she paints.\n\n\n\nFind out more about the Selkie Stone on her Instagram Page \n\nExhibition runs from Thursday 18th – Sunday 28th September 2025 in The Outer Room and is included in the ticket price.\n11am until 4.00pm each day.Closed Tuesday and Wednesday each week

DESCRIPTION:For the very first time Spartans can take on Hopetoun Estate. Expect a course that is as breath-taking as it is brutal.  Challenge yourself to a Sprint (5K)\, Super (10K) or the Beast (21K) or if you are feeling brave take on all 3 in a day and complete the coveted one day Trifecta. Those racing competitively will also have the opportunity to take part in the Beast Race which forms part of the UK National Series for 2025. SUMMARY:Outlander Guided Tour of Hopetoun House and entrance to Midhope Castle
DESCRIPTION:Join us on a small group exclusive guided tour of the several Outlander locations inside Hopetoun House and outside in the Grounds.\n\nPrebooking is required.\n\nThe guided tour takes place every Friday. It starts at 11:30 and lasts approx. 90 minutes\, but your ticket lasts all day so you are welcome to stay at Hopetoun for as long as you wish (we close at 5pm).\n\nDuring the day you can also visit Midhope Castle\, better known as Lallybroch (located a few miles away) which is also included in the ticket price.\nPlease note: You need your own transport to travel between Hopetoun House and Midhope Castle (approx 3 miles apart).
