DESCRIPTION:This husband and wife team are both graduates of Edinburgh College of Art\, and have both pursued teaching careers in a college environment. Jean is a painter and Ian makes ceramics. \nTheir work has been shown at Hopetoun House for many years\, and they live and work on the Estate. This year’s exhibition will present new decorative and functional works for the contemporary domestic interior. \nExhibition runs from Monday 1St August until Monday 16th September in The Outer Room. \n11am until 4.30pm each day. \nClosed Tuesday and Wednesday each week. \nEntry to the exhibition is included in the ticket price

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a scenic ranger-led walk along the Hopetoun foreshore as part of the Scottish Geology Festival! Discover the geological wonders of West Lothian and perhaps catch a glimpse of local wildlife.\n\nTicket Prices:\nAdult £8.50\, Concession £8.00\, Disabled £6.50\, Child £6.50 (not suitable for children under 8 years of age)\, Family (2+2) £27.00\n\nBook tickets here: https://bit.ly/3Wh3OPG\n\nMeet at the old Kiosk in the visitor car park. This walk will cover approx. 3 miles with rough underfoot conditions and requires a good level of fitness. It is not suitable for children under 8 years of age. Please wear suitable clothing and shoes for the Scottish weather. Binoculars may be useful. Dogs are not allowed on Ranger-led walks. Information for gate access will be emailed a week before the event.
