Linties Add Sparkle at Hopetoun

Linlithgow LintiesWest Lothian’s biggest fireworks event has added live music to this year’s entertainment programme by inviting along the Linlithgow Community Children’s Choir – otherwise known as the Linlithgow Linties.

The Linties will be part of the pre-show entertainment at Hopetoun House on Saturday 7th November for the annual Hopetoun Bonfire and Fireworks Night. Performing on the huge front steps on the 17th century stately home the choir involves dozens of local primary school children from all around the Linlithgow area.

Victoria Knox and Alison Sharp run the 38-strong community children’s choir and are looking forward to this new challenge; “We are absolutely delighted to be invited to perform at Hopetoun this year. We’ve only been established for 2 years and have performed at a few large events in Linlithgow. However signing for up to 5,000 people on the front steps of Hopetoun House is definitely going to be a highlight and we’re all really looking forward to it” says Victoria.

The family friendly event also includes pre-show entertainment from fire dancers, free face painting, balloon modelling and hot food stalls in addition to a huge bonfire to keep everyone nice and warm. The evening concludes with a grand finale of fireworks set to music designed and choreographed by the award winning team at 21CC Fireworks.

The gates are open from 4pm until 6pm with the fireworks finale at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £13 for adults and £6.50 for children and can be purchase online at TheHub.co.uk or in person at Hopetoun Farm Shop. For more information visit hopetoun.co.uk/event/hopetoun-fireworks
