Meet Hopetoun’s majestic red deer herd and enjoy a memorable wildlife experience as part of our popular Family Discovery Days series

This engaging family event offers the chance to learn more about Britain’s native deer species while exploring the beautiful Grounds. Follow a themed trail, take part in creative crafts in the Education Room, and visit our Ranger at the Deer Park for informal drop-in talks.

Families will also have the opportunity to watch the deer enjoy a snack , with a little luck, spot this year’s calves—making this a truly special day for visitors of all ages.

All activities are included with your admission ticket. Visitors can choose between a Grounds Only ticket or a House & Grounds ticket, which also includes access to the historic House where our knowledgeable guides bring Hopetoun’s story to life.

Snowdrop Weekend at Hopetoun House

.Hopetoun House & Grounds are open for our Snowdrop Weekend. Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th February 10am - 4pm (last entry at 3pm) Tickets available online or in the Front Hall on the day.
