An exhibition of contemporary woven tapestries

29th June – 31st July 2023

Joan Baxter, John Brennan, Clare Coyle and Elizabeth Radcliffe all studied tapestry at the renowned tapestry department at Edinburgh College of Art. All have exhibited widely in the UK and internationally over the last 30 – 40 years. Whilst all focus on the traditional medium of tapestry, each has their own style and different approach to weaving what interests them. Each day at least one of the artists will be on hand during the exhibition to network with visitors and to demonstrate tapestry weaving.

Opening times: 11 – 5pm Thursday to Monday (closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 22 and 29 July).

Hopetoun is clearly sign posted from Glasgow and Edinburgh, we recommend you travel towards South Queensferry and follow the brown tourist signs.

Alternatively, for Sat Nav please use post code EH30 9RW which will direct you to Farquhar Terrace in South Queensferry, from here it is a straight road from this point for about 1.5 miles.

Please note that there is no access to Hopetoun House from the Bo’ness road A904 (even though your Sat Nav might tell you otherwise).

Car parking at Hopetoun is free of charge with the exception of large public events where additional charges may apply.
