During August Ian Henderson & Jean Hall with return to Hopetoun House for the 6th year, to display and sell a collection of their own handmade paintings and ceramics.

Both artists live locally, near South Queensferry in Scotland. They are both graduates of Edinburgh College of Art and are husband and wife.

Jean studied Painting at Art College and is a well-known exhibitor in a wide range of commercial galleries in Scotland and abroad whilst Ian has studied Ceramics and Sculpture and works in a variety of media including ceramics, drawing, printmaking and video.

You can find Ian and Jean in The Outer Room during August when we are open to the public (Friday – Monday). Access to the exhibition is included within your house or grounds tickets.

Hopetoun is clearly sign posted from Glasgow and Edinburgh, we recommend you travel towards South Queensferry and follow the brown tourist signs.

Alternatively, for Sat Nav please use post code EH30 9RW which will direct you to Farquhar Terrace in South Queensferry, from here it is a straight road from this point for about 1.5 miles.

Please note that there is no access to Hopetoun House from the Bo’ness road A904 (even though your Sat Nav might tell you otherwise).

Car parking at Hopetoun is free of charge for visitors with a House & Grounds or Grounds only ticket, with the exception of large public events where additional charges may apply.
