A ‘running’ event like you’ve never seen before! Inspired by the best TV game shows out there – Gladiators, Wipeout, Takeshi’s Castle and a load more, Rough Runner are bringing to Hopetoun some of the most creative, unique obstacles in the industry.

Taking place on our Estate this will be a relatively flat run, with an excellent mixture of terrain – lots of woodland, grassland, fields, and a quick trip to the beach on some routes!

With a 5km, 10km or 15km route there’s something to suit all levels of fitness, and since there’s no laps, you’ll get more, different obstacles the further you run.

Hopetoun is clearly sign posted from Glasgow and Edinburgh, we recommend you travel towards South Queensferry and follow the brown tourist signs.

Alternatively, for Sat Nav please use post code EH30 9RW which will direct you to Farquhar Terrace in South Queensferry, from here it is a straight road from this point for about 1.5 miles.

Please note that there is no access to Hopetoun House from the Bo’ness road A904 (even though your Sat Nav might tell you otherwise).

Car parking at Hopetoun is free of charge for visitors with a House & Grounds or Grounds only ticket, with the exception of large public events where additional charges may apply.
