Selkie Stone – Fine Art Exhibition

September 18 @ 11:00 am - September 28 @ 4:00 pm

We’re delighted to announce the first solo exhibition from Edinburgh-based painter and poet the Selkie Stone.
Her work is deeply inspired by the nature and folklore of her Scottish home, balancing light and dark through rich colour and visual storytelling. This collection takes you from the intricate treasures of the Scottish coastline, to the wild landscapes of rural Fife, and even into the deer-filled woodlands of Hopetoun House.
Created largely within the span of a single month, the exhibition is an intimate time capsule of immediate inspiration — a glimpse into the beginnings of a career rooted in curiosity, imagination, and myth.
Raised in the wilds of the Lake District and now based in Edinburgh, she draws on her love of hiking, gothic literature, and local folklore to weave magical narratives into her oil and watercolour works.
Viewers are invited to step into these worlds and find their own stories within the characters and landscapes she paints.
Exhibition runs from Thursday 18th – Sunday 28th September 2025 in The Outer Room and is included in the ticket price.
11am until 4.00pm each day.
Closed Tuesday and Wednesday each week
