Have you ever wondered who ate that pine cone, or left that footprint or even left their smelly calling card? When you walk through the woods you are not guaranteed to see who it was but this ranger led guided walk aims to help you investigate the food, footprints and faeces. Learn the difference from badgers and bats to dogs and deer with lots of other interesting facts thrown in too.
You can also enjoy the rest of the majestic grounds with nature trails and scenic walks before and after your walk. Bookings strictly limited to 12 people only.
Please note that The Stables Kitchen is not yet open, but you are welcome to bring a picnic.
In line with the Scottish Government guidelines all visits to the Hopetoun Grounds must now be booked in advance, therefore we sadly cannot accommodate anyone turning up on the day without a pre-booked ticket.
You are welcome to arrive anytime from 11am and stay as long as you like.
Please meet the ranger in the car park (beside the ticket kiosk) at 12.50pm for a safety briefly. The walk will start at 1pm. Sturdy footwear recommended.
Access requirements
For Sat Nav please use EH30 9RW which will take you into South Queensferry to Farquhar Terrace. From here you will be able to follow the brown signs to Hopetoun and it is a straight road from this point.
