This traditional game keepers cottage is located on the edge of the estate’s Deer Park and offers two double bedrooms and a twin, all of which are en-suite.

There is no minimum stay at Parkhead House but it is let on a bed & breakfast basis.

We kindly ask that you do not contact Hopetoun Estate regarding the rent or availability of the holiday accommodation, as it is independently owned and managed by the Gourlay family. Thank you for your understanding.

Stay at Midhope Castle

The Old Gamekeepers Cottage & Lallybroch Castle are located within the grounds of Midhope Castle on the private Hopetoun Estate.

Hopetoun is clearly sign posted from Glasgow and Edinburgh, we recommend you travel towards South Queensferry and follow the brown tourist signs.

Alternatively, for Sat Nav please use post code EH30 9RW which will direct you to Farquhar Terrace in South Queensferry, from here it is a straight road from this point for about 1.5 miles.

Please note that there is no access to Hopetoun House from the Bo’ness road A904 (even though your Sat Nav might tell you otherwise).

Car parking at Hopetoun is free of charge for visitors with a House & Grounds or Grounds only ticket, with the exception of large public events where additional charges may apply.
